At Drakewood Farm, we love celebrating couples whose stories feel meant to be—and Alyssa and Austin’s journey is one of them. From middle school friends to lifelong partners, their love has only grown stronger with time.
Alyssa and Austin met in 7th grade at Lauderdale Middle School. They were close friends from the start, though Austin secretly had a crush on her for years. Their friendship turned into romance during their senior year, and on December 1, 2017, they officially began dating. Growing up together gave their relationship a strong and genuine foundation.
On December 21, 2024, Austin proposed at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville—a place filled with special memories. Alyssa thought they were just there to shop and explore, but Austin had arranged for a coworker to secretly capture the moment. After a boat ride, he suggested a photo under a gazebo. Pretending to tie his already-tied shoes, he pulled out a ring and asked her to marry him. It was thoughtful, sweet, and perfectly them.
In their seven years together, Alyssa and Austin have experienced every season of life—high school, college, the pandemic, and adulthood. They even learned how to cook after moving in together, though pizza rolls and ice cream dinners were a staple at first. Their greatest adventure has been adopting their pup, Millie, who brings joy and laughter into their lives every day.
Alyssa and Austin’s love story is rooted in friendship, shared milestones, and endless support. We are thrilled to celebrate their wedding at Drakewood Farm and can’t wait to see their forever unfold.
