Some love stories begin with a single memorable moment, while others begin with everyday conversations that slowly turn into forever. Sarah and Brendan’s story was rooted in both—starting in high school and leading to a beautiful celebration surrounded by the people they love.
Sarah and Brendan first met in high school, though they each remembered that first meeting a little differently—which made their story even sweeter. Sarah remembered meeting on the first day back to work after summer vacation while helping in the cafeteria. Brendan believed their first meeting happened during open house while they were talking about Lindsey Sterling. However it happened, their paths crossed at exactly the right time.
Their engagement story was just as meaningful. Sarah had a feeling Brendan was planning something after he bought the ring in early December, but he still managed to surprise her. On December 21, 2024, Brendan took Sarah to see the Christmas lights at the Opryland Hotel.
After spending the evening walking through the lights together, Brendan led Sarah toward the front of the hotel to look at a few more displays. With fewer people around, he pulled her close, whispered sweet words in her ear, and spun her around before getting down on one knee. He pulled out the ring he had secretly been keeping at the jeweler’s and asked Sarah to marry him. She immediately said yes.
It was such an honor to celebrate Sarah and Brendan at Drakewood Farm and witness the beginning of this next chapter together. Their day was a beautiful reflection of their story—thoughtful, joyful, and full of love—and we were so grateful to be part of it.
